Film
“Clucked”
Written and directed with SevenFilms for The 48 Hour Film Project–Toronto.
An engagement party turns fowl when eldritch poultry begin massacring the guests.
Winner of:
- Audience Choice Award
- Best Film Poster
Special thanks to Chris and Claire Clovis for lending us the use of their farm for a day, and to my mother, Sandra Clive, for providing food for the cast and crew.
And a massive round of applause for Nicolas Lehmann who shot, mixed, and edited this horror-comedy. If this film is good, it is because of his skill with a camera (and patience at my lack of preparedness).
This film is a prime example of the Jaws school of filmmaking: you don’t need to show the monster, or the gore. A few stylized POV shots and great actor reactions is enough to sell the story.
